The Okere District in the Eastern Region of Ghana is rich with many tourist sites that are not yet popular. At Apirede, a suburb of the Eastern region, we visited the rocks on which Okomfo Anokye rested his back and his feet still has prints of his back and feet on them. There’s a section of the rocks also where he sat that has prints of his buttocks on it too.

Okomfo Anokye was a powerful spiritualist of his time and so many stories have been heard about him, including where he commanded a sort from the skies to hit the ground that cannot be removed by anyone to date.
Apirede also has a Waterfall which is welcoming to all tourists.
